Around 3 Thousand population of Kadi part 1 to 5 in Tamenglong District are facing hardships due to lack of Health Care Facility, dysfunctional lone Primary School and bad road connectivity

Around 3 thousand villagers of Kadi part 1 to 5 under Tamei Sub-Division in Tamenglong District, which is 116 kilometres away from the Imphal City are deprived of access to health facility. Many lives have lost due to lack of medical facility in the area. There are around 18 villages from Kadi part 1 to 5. Villagers have appealed to State Government to construct a Primary Health Centre in the area without further delay.

Lack of proper infrastructure and adequate teachers in the lone Primary School in the area has compelled villagers to send their children to far off places for schooling with much hardships. The lone Primary school in the area remains a namesake school without any teacher nor staff. Above all, the school lacks sanitation facility and staff quarter.

Road connectivity from Kadi part 1 to part 4 is also in a deplorable condition. One cannot even set foot on the road leading to District Headquarter after a slight rainfall bringing much plights to the villagers especially in times of medical emergencies. Construction of the road under PMGSY started sometime back but it remains incomplete. Grasses have even started sprouting on some portion of the blacktopped road.

It is high time, Government's 'Go To Hills' and 'Go To Village' missions reach to Kadi Villagers.
