MLA of Hiyanglam Assembly Constituency, Dr. Y. Radheshyam has expressed concerns over the rising coronavirus infection rate in Manipur, despite the steady decrease in the country. He said, the spike in covid-positivity rate in the state is because of not following Covid Appropriate Behaviour strictly and failure in getting inoculated against COVID-19.
MLA Dr.Y. Radheshyam was speaking on the sidelines of inspecting the Mass covid vaccination drive, organised by Covid Task Force Hiyanglam, Hiyanglam PHC and local clubs of Hiyanglam Terapisak namely ABC and YDC at YDC Ground today. The MLA appealed to all the eligible beneficiaries to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible to prevent the possible third wave of coronavirus pandemic in the state. He also reminded that the Union Health Ministry has already approved covid vaccination of pregnant and lactating women as safe.
It maybe mentioned that Manipur Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren has recently announced to reward Rs.20 lakhs to the first fully vaccionated Assembly Constituency in the state.
