Four MLAs of All India Trinamool Congress - Thounaojam Shyamkumar, Oinam Lukhoi, K. Sharat and I. Ibohalbi quit party’s primary membership

Imphal, 18 September 2016 ( Evening News ) : Four MLAs of All India Trinamool Congress today resigned from the party’s primary membership. Andro A/C MLA Thounaojam Shyamkumar, Wangoi A/C MLA Oinam Lukhoi, Konthoujam A/C MLA K. Sharat and Oinam A/C MLA I. Ibohalbi today quit the party. It may be recalled that 7 Trinamool Congress Party MLA won in the 10th general election. The number of MLAs were reduced to 6 following death of Hiyanglam A/C MLA Kunjo. MLAs of Thangmeiband A/C and Thongju A/C were disqualified and they joined Bharariya Janata Party. After that four TMC MLAs were left in the party. Replying to media queries at a press meet the 4 MLAs said they have not decided yet to which party they will join. MLA Shyamkumar said they have send their resignation to party national president Mamata Banerjee. The Four MLAs said they have decided to leave the All India Trinamool Congress after the party kept mum when bill on indigenous people were being withhold in Parliament.

Oinam A/C gee MLA Irengbam Ibohalbi said it seems national parties are not interested in the issues related to Manipur. That is why he decided to leave the party.
