Imphal, 11 July 2016 : President of Manipur people's party, N. Sovakiran today accused the state govt of fooling the political parties in the state by remaining quiet over ‘Protection of Manipur People’s Bill, 2015’ withheld by the President of India. Speaking to media persons at MPP office near Polo Ground, MPP president Sovakiran said the people of Churachandpur have objected to the new bill before its introduction in the assembly. Even if a new bill is passed by the state assembly, the MPP president expressed the apprehension that the President of India might sideline the bill as the Congress govt’s term is ending.
