Special Summary Revision 2015 of State Electoral Roll released

Chief Electoral Officer O Nabakishore yesterday released the Special Summary Revision 2015 of State Electoral Roll at his office chamber at New Secretariat. The total number of voters has reached 17,64,122 an increase of 48, 339 voters from previous year. Number of male voter is 8,64,122 while number of female voter is 8 lakhs until January 1, 2015 with the ratio of 1042 female voter per 1000 male voter. However, elector population ratio of the state is below the national rate due to high growth rate of population in Senapati district. As per the Revision, the projected population of the state in 2015 is 30,80,488 and elector population ratio is 58%.  The national ratio is 60%. O Nabakishore said EROs will be assigned to cross-check the figures. Another Intensive Revision is underway to release in this month apart Special Summary Revision 2015 as per strict instruction from ECI. Nabakishore also said number of para-military and armed force personnel working in other states will be worked out in the Intensive Revision.
