Candidates who had applied for various posts of Manipur State Power Development Corporation Limited, MSPDCL and Manipur State Power Company Limited, MSPCL in 2019 are demanding their recruitment results.
Pressing their demands, the irate candidates tried to storm the Chief Minister's Bungalow today, but Security Personnel managed to disperse them from the Nupilal Complex. Protestors then headed for Manipur Press Club, where a protestor, Julia Loitongbam told media that examinations were held for recuitment of over one thousand posts of Group C and D but their results are yet to be declared despite State Government's assurance to declare the same at the earliest.
She recalled that they had even submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister N. Biren but he has not responded yet, while Power Minister Th. Biswajit has given a vague assurance to look into the matter. Candidates even warned of not taking part in the upcoming 2022 State General Election if their recruitment results were not declared before the election.
