MANIPUR'S COVID-19 TALLY CROSSES 61K Featured

Just a day after Manipur reported more recoveries than new cases of COVID-19, the state  reported a massive hike in COVID-19 positive cases as State's COVID-19  tally crossed 61K mark on June 15.
 
Out of the total 8,074 samples tested during the last 24 hours in Manipur, 785 were detected positive for COVID-19 rising the State's COVID-19 tally to 61,096 out of which 8,744 are active cases. 8 Covid patients died in the last 24 hours and death toll stands at 998.  On the positive note, 476 COVID cured cases were reported in the past 24 hours, rising the total recoveries to 51,354. Manipur's recovery rate has declined to 84.05%.
 
As per Manipur Directorate of Health Services and COVID-19 Common Control room press release on June 15 evening,  newly infected persons are 772 from the general population and 13 are personnel of Central Armed Police Force. Infected persons from the general population are 309 from Imphal West, 114 from Imphal East, 65 from Chirachandpur, 62 each from Bishnupur and Thoubal, 52 from Kakching, 34 from Jiribam, 22 from Tamenglong, 20 from Ukhrul, 14 from Chandel, 11 from Senapati, 4 from Noney, 2 from Kangpokpi and one from Tengnoupal District.
 
While, the COVID-19 victims are 4 from Imphal West, one each from Imphal East, Kangpokpi, Chandel and Kakching District.
