Imphal, 18 February 2017 ( Evening News ) : Students today took out a cycle rally to create awareness about Clean and Healthy environment in Manipur. The 2nd cycle rally is organised by Personality Development Club (PDC) of DM College of Arts on the theme Reduce, re-use and Recycle for a green future. The rally was flagged off from the college this morning at 7.30. About 30 rallyists took part in the rally which proceeded towards Thanga Salam. General Secretary of Teachers Forum of the college Dr. Keithellakpam Indramani flagged off the rally. The cyclists displayed placards that read - our future is to give plastic another life, lets reduce plastic bags as much as we can, save the environment and you will save the life & future and Plastic pollute & paper don't. A teacher of the college, Ch. Bhaigyachandra who took part in the cycle rally said the rally spreads the message about the harmful effect of plastic and other products on environment and the people. He also said young people should involve themselves in efforts to protect the environment.
