Imphal, 29 August 2016 ( Evening News ) : Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha today inspected the Imphal International Airport. Speaking to media persons after landing in Imphal, Minister Jayant Sinha said there is a central plan to expand and improve the airports across the country for providing better domestic and international travel. He said as part of the plan he is inspecting the Imphal International Airport to improve regional connectivity and stated there is a huge scope for development of the Imphal International Airport. The Minister landed at the Imphal International Airport at 11.30 am and inspected the airport. Later in the day, Minister Jayant Sinha will meet Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam and discuss over improvement and development of the Imphal International Airport.
