MPP warns to file a PIL if govt fails to give reasons for the cancellation of 2013 DPC for recruitment of police constables

Imphal, 22 August 2016 ( Evening News ) : Manipur People’s Party, MPP today warned that the party will file a Public Interest Litigation if the present Government fails to give the reasons for the cancellation of the 2013 DPC for recruitment of police constables. MPP also said the matter must not be taken lightly as it involves a multi crore scam. Speaking at a press meet held at its office, Party President N Sovakiran said MPP condemns welcoming of the 18th and the first woman Governor of the state, Dr Najma Heptulla with around Rs 6 billion scam. He warned that MPP will file PIL and submit memorandum to Governor in case the reasons of the cancellation are not made public by the Government N Sovakiran reminded that around 30 thousand candidates had enrolled for the recruitment of 2,000 constable posts and out of which 10,287 were through the physical test, written test and viva voce and waiting for the final results.
