Imphal, 08 August 2016 ( Evening News ) : Imphal West Additional SP Th. Vikramjit conducted a press conference at Imphal West Complex, Minuthong where he termed the recovery of three IEDs as a great achievement of the Imphal West police and 25 Assam Rifles. Th. Vikramjit said the IED recovered from a bus contained RDX. He said full investigation is being conducted regarding the IED blast that occurred near State Museum on August 5. The press conference was leo attended by Imphal West DSP Operation S. Sachidananda, Imphal West Officer In-charge Potsangbam Sanjoy along with 25 AR Major Radha Krishnan.

Meanwhile, Search operations continue in and around Imphal city ahead of the Independence Day celebration on August 15. A team of police under the supervision of Imphal West DSP Commando Soibam Sachidananda conducted search operation at Uripok Khoisnam Leikai. Male persons at the area were verified after checking their identification documents.
