Imphal, 28 July 2016 ( Evening News ) : A team of women vendors launched a drive at Panthoibi Sana Keithel temporary Market last night to prevent untoward incidents. Ima Panthoibi Sana Keithel Lup had earlier warned the women vendors not to stay at the market after 9 pm. It said the presence of some women vendors till late night in the temporary market near the BT park has portrayed a wrong image of the women vendors. The drive was taken to prevent women vendors from staying in the market after 9 at night. No individuals or organisations other than KEDO, WUM, AMUK and MASEL are not allowed to look after the sheds at night. During the drive 7-8 non-Manipuris were found staying in the market sheds besides a few women vendors. Secretary of Ima Panthoibi Sana Keithel Lup, Khomdram (O) Joymati Leima told Impact News that the drive will be continued to prevent untoward incidents.
