Imphal, 22 July 2016 ( Evening News) : Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System, JCILPS continued its drive against illegal migrant labourers. Around 20 migrant workers were caught by the volunteers for not having proper identification documents this morning around 10. JCILPS volunteers along with local Meira Paibi conducted the drive against migrant workers near Sekmai Police Station. The volunteers stopped buses and other public transport vehicles to identify illegal migrant workers. The joint committee has been conducting drive against migrant workers who entered the state in the last few days on the national highways demanding Inner Line Permit System in Manipur. The migrant workers had with them xeroxed copies of ID issued by JCILPS or fake ID papers. 123 migrant workers were caught yesterday during JCILPS drive in Sekmai.
