Imphal, 06 May 2016 ( Evening News) : Mao Council, All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur and Mao Students’ Union under the aegis of United Naga Council today observed the 6th Death Anniversary of Neli Chakho and Dikho Lohrii at Mao Gate Martyrs Park, in Senapati. United Naga Council reiterated that no force can compromise the identity, culture, tradition and land of Naga under any circumstances. Attendees at the observance paid floral tribute to the 2 students and also held a mass prayer. Speaking on the occasion, UNC President Gaidon Kamei stated that the fateful incident of May 6, 2010 in the Naga integration movement where 2 students lost their lives and many were injured many is still fresh in the mind of every Naga. The supreme sacrifice made by the 2 students will consolidate the Naga integration movement. Gaidon Kamei also added that divisive and communal Govt of Manipur can never suppress the movement and appealed to all the Naga people to remain united in the protracted struggle of the Naga integration movement. Mao MLA, representative of ANSAM, Naga Hoho, naga Women Organisation, NPP, NSF, NSCN-IM and general public took part in the observance.
