Imphal, 14 December 2017 ( Evening News ) : The Institute of Engineers (India), IEI Manipur State Centre observed the World energy Day at the Seminar Hall of IEI, Government of Polytechnic, Takyel today. The observance was sponsored by M/S. SS Electronics. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of IEI Manipur State Council, Kh. Temba said the event was organised to ensure wise usage of various types of energies so as to conserve it for the future generation. He said the observance also aims to reduce unnecessary usage of electrical appliances at home and wastage of Fuel Energy by driving vehicles unnecessarily as well as to promote utilisation of Non-Conventional Energies such as Solar Energy. Former Chairman of JERC (Manipur & Mizoram), N. Shyamsunder and Honorary Secretary of IEI, N. Joykumar were among those present at the event.
