SSKM crowned overall champion of Karate-Do championship

Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate-Do, Manipur (SSKM) crowned overall champion with 21 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 15 bronze medals in the 1st Open State Level Karate-Do Championship at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak, today.
Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate-Do, Kakching Khunou bagged the team Kumite champion while ISKF Kanglei Shito Ryu Karate-Do, Patsoi took the team Kata champion.
The closing function was attended by director prosecution, Ng Tejkumar Singh; joint chief town planning, chairman, Khoibi Salam; deputy secretary Education (S), Abdus Salam; retired Major, YI Singh and pradhan, Kairang Khomidok, Md Nurjaman as chief guest, president and guests of honour repectively.
Meanwhile, in Kumite 16-17year boys -60 kg, Kh Amarjit Singh of SAI RC took gold medal while L Birbal Singh of SSKM, Langol bagged silver medal and Ch Ramson Singh of SSKM, Khurai; Md Hatab Khan of SSKM, Kairang took bronze medals each.
In Kumite 16-17 year boys -55 kg, K Gambhir Singh of SSKM, Malom took gold medal while Y Sanajaoba Singh of SSKM, Langol bagged silver medal and Md Salaman Kham of SSKM, Kairang; N Bonjovi Singh of SSKM, Langol took bronze medals each.
In Kumite below 8year girls, Thiyam Sarbina Devi of SSKM, Keishampat took gold medal while Th Sanai Devi of SSKM, Keishampat bagged silver medal and L Yaiphabi Chanu of SSKM, Khurai; Ng Asha Kiran Devi of SSKM, Keishampat took bronze medals each.
In Kumite under 8year boys, Salam Sunder Singh of SSKM, Keishampat took gold medal while Chandam Swamibash Meitei of SSKM, Khurai bagged silver medal and Soibam Jamesbond of KGKM; Thiyam Tiken Singh of SSKM, Keishampat took bronze medals each.
In Kumite 16-17year girls -45 kg, Yumkhaibam Mirabai Devi of SSKM, Malom took gold medal while in Kumite senior male -65kg, Md Abas Khan of SSKM, Kairang took gold and in Kumite senior girls -55kg, Syed Haseena of SSKM, Kairang took gold.
In Kumite 9-10 year boys, Soibam James Singh of SSKM, Kakching Khunou took gold medal while N Satish Singh of KGKM bagged silver medal and T Karbin Singh of SSKM, Keishampat; L Warson Meitei of SSKM, Khurai took bronze medals each.
In Kumite 16-17year boys -50 kg, Th Ibungo Meitei of SSKM, Wangjing took gold medal while Md K Abubakar of SSKM, Kairang bagged silver medal and N Suresh Singh of NSKF; P Mukesh Singh of SSKM, Khurai took bronze medals each.
In Kumite 13-15 year boys -50 kg, L Lectrogen Singh of NSKF took gold medal while N Johnson Singh of SSKM, Keishampat bagged silver medal and M Jack Singh of SSKM, Langol; L Chinglen Meitei of SSKM, Wangjing took bronze medals each.
In Kumite 13-15 year boys +50 kg, A Yaiphathoi of NSKF took gold medal while N Bimolchand Singh of SSKM, Keishampat bagged silver medal and Md Nazir Hussain of SSKM, Kairang; A David Singh of NSKM took bronze medals each.
In Kumite 11-12 year boys -50 kg PoleA, Laitonjam Chingkheinganba Meitei of SSKM, Khurai took gold medal while Th Nike Meitei of NSKF took silver medal and RK Thoithoi Singh; L Ngamba Singh both of KGKM took silver medals each.
In Kumite 11-12 year boys +50 kg PoleB, Md Zabir of SSKM, Kairang took gold medal while L Bikash of SSKM, Keishampat took silver medal and Kh Rimson Singh of SSKM, Wangjing; Ajay Kumar Jha of KGKM took silver medals each.
RDD blank AAA 7-0 in semis, to meet KFC in final

RDD, Wangkhei blanked AAA, Kongpal 7-0 in the second semi final of Rabichandra football tournament at Kiyamgei Ideal High School Ground, today.
Ananda scored the opening goal of RDD in the 13th minutes and after two minutes, Raj scored the second goal. With this, the first half ended with RDD leading 2-0.
Continuing RDD leading in the second half with Millan scored the third goal in 39th minute while Deepak scored the fourth goal in the 47th minute and Anand scored his second and fifth goal of the team in the 51st minute, just six minutes later Millan again added one more goal.
However, Bobby scored the seventh goal of the winning team in the 58th minute.
RDD will meet KFC in the final match on January 15, while AAA will play LISBON for third place on January 14.
HU defeat CDO 3-1 to clinch U-14 hockey title

Hockey Union, Lairikyengbam defeated Charangpat Development Organization, Charangpat 3-1, in the final of 1st U-14 Herojit Waribam Gold Cup Hockey Tournament at Khuman Lampak Hockey Practice Field, today.
CDO’s W Neerajkumar received the best promising player and best midfield of the tournament,while Y Shymson Meitei of AJSA received the best goal keeper award; T Barlin Singh of CDO received the best defender award; A Suresh Sharma of HU as best forward and the best promising team award received by All Jiribam Sports Association.
The closing function was attended by MLA Uripok, L Nandakumar Singh; vice-president Manipur Hockey, S Sobita Devi; president All Manipur Working Journalist Union, Samjai Wakhemcha; deputy director Transport, Ksh Lemba Singh and national awardee, Basudev Singh as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Meanwhile, Suresh Sharma opened the scoring of HU in the 11th minute and after three minutes, he added one more goal. With this, the first half ended with HU leading 2-0.
Continuing HU leading in the second half, W Neerajkumar scored the third goal in the 31st minute; however, Th Ahendro scored the solitary goal for CDO in the 43rd minute.
Binod Kumar bags gold in opening day of Karate-do championship

N Binod Kumar of ISKF Kanglei Shito Ryu, Patsoi bagged a gold medal while Kh Amarjit Singh took silver medal and Ksh Bikram Singh bagged bronze medal in the 16-17 years Boys Kata open on the opening day of the 1st SSKM state level Karate-do championship, at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak, today.
Meanwhile, in the senior boys 55 kg Kumite, Md Rajaudin bagged gold and Y James Singh took silver medal.
The championship was organised by the Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate-do,
Manipur under the aegis of Manipur Amateur Karate-Do Association (MAKA).
The opening function was attended by deputy speaker, MK Preshow
Shimray; assistant director of sports, Manipur University, Dr Ch
Pradeep Singh; president, Information Centre Hills Area Manipur
(ICHAM), N Rajendro and president, Nehon Shotokan Karate-do Federation India, Shihan Kiran Kumar Thangjam were the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
There were 146 males and 37 females from 13 teams are participating in the championship.
Adventure camp continues

The five day friendly adventure camp organized by the Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association in collaboration with HQ 9 Sector Assam Rifle (10 Assam Rifles) which was inaugurated on October 22 at the Manipur Mountaineering Institute, Lamdan will conclude on October 26.
50 students including 24 girls from different schools are participating in the camp.
The students will be introduced to different types of adventure activities during the camp, said a press release of the Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
